Not just strange, but somehow disrespectful to the ladies!
Earlier this week, someone had pointed this out on Twitter, saying something along the lines of, "So WTA, how is the joint event in Washington working out for you." S/he pointed out that on Sunday, all the Stadium matches were ATP, although they were still in qualifying, while first round women's matches were on the Grandstand and Court 1. On Saturday, men's qualifying (first round) were on Stadium and Grandstand courts, while women's (final round) qualifying were on Grandstand 2. If you look back at the daily schedules, it's been the same all week (just one exception: Stephens-Bouchard last night pushed Malisse-Chardy onto the Grandstand). Evidently the event organizers there agree with Simon/Tipsarevic.
