It also gives you the chance to reflect upon players we were told were the next top players, and see how they've yet/never reached the heights expected of them. Bolleterri called Larcher De Brito a Top 10 player. She's 19 now, and outside of her screech, her impact in the tennis world has been de minimus.
Oh for sure, when I saw Larcher de Brito play in Charlottesville last year, I was very disappointed in how basic and one-dimensional her game is. It's really interesting how some players fail to add the tools and strategy to their game that can make them evolve into something more.
