I think with StS though, she wanted more to include a TBK single than she wanted to present a new remaster.

That's the whole idea - she wanted to put out a boxset which showcased her entire career up to that point, perhaps geared towards people who aren't extremely familiar with her work. Honestly, it was clear from the start that only hardcore fans would buy it, and from where I stand, it should have catered more to their (our) needs. In that sense, I think it should have included her first three albums in full (as those really needed remastering), as many b-sides and rarities as possible, more songs from the vaults, tracks previously unavailable in CD quality (Garlands, Mountain) etc.

eta - that's what happens when it takes you an hour to make a post - Rabih addressed all those things before I hit submit.

Still, I don't think Choirgirl and Venus need remasters at all. That's why I don't mind the iieee and Cruel remixes - we already have excellent sounding versions of the originals.
