you keep the five iron for mid range shots and you lighten up on the eight to compensate for the nine iron.

But... that goes against proper golf logic... you are supposed to use the proper club that allows you to swing normal and hit the correct distance. I suck, but I do watch golf shows that tell me how bad I suck too...
