so why should america host it again after 16 years?....its been 44 years since a proper football nation like england hosted it,its not in living memory since uruguay hosted it.....and as for emerging nations i think the aussies would get my vote

Football is the fastest growing sport in Australia and while it will probably never be as big as Rugby League over there, the Aussies are extremely enthusiastic about it and would support it really well. The've never hosted it and a lot of countries haven't in thew last 16 years. USA have had their chance for at least another 10 or 20 years and it would be better going to someone who actually gives a shit, as a nation, about the sport.
