Have to wonder where England will go from here.
It's obvious to me something is rotten with English football, and it's not the manager or coaching staff, because a number of quality managers have come and gone through the England post. And Capello is without doubt the best of all of them yet.
I think football at grassroots has to be restructured, and coaches have to be retrained. Because what kids are being taught now is not technical ability. I find it deeply worrying that int the England team, only Lampard was prepared to take shots with his weeker foot. I find it even more worrying that 90% of the players seem to lack the simplest of footballing skills: ball contol.
Beckenbaur called us a kick and rush team, frankly, I think that's doing us too much of a service, it implies that there is movement up front.
