They continually surrounded the ref when the played us , which is totally against the rules as regards intimidation .
No they didn't. Not this season.

Rooney's well publicised Dive
I can only assume your talking about the Arsenal game. That was a penalty as Almunia came out from his goal, to get the ball, Rooney took the ball past him, he caught Rooney and in the eyes of the referee, and in the laws of the game, if a goakeeper does that, then it's a penalty all day long. Almunia was just lucky Rooney was going away from goal, had he been going towards goal, he would have been sent off.

Ferguson publicly claiming refs are unfit ,
They are unfit. Be it health wise (Alan Wiley actually said to Wayne Rooney that he needed a break!) that's the standard we have to put up with.

Let me tell you about referee's on the continent, they are better as they have regular fitness tests and other tests to make sure that they are fit and proper to officiate a football game. The referee's over here have 1 testa season, and that's considered enough.
