How come?
It's my understanding that too much of it can sometimes irritate your stomach. When I was in high school and had a lot of digestive problems due to stress, I was told to avoid carbonated beverages because they could further aggravate my condition.

Some people also say it can block calcium absorption, but I don't know if that's true or just Modern Jackassery.
