I will probably always watch the Oscars regardless of quality out of ritual. Hathaway and Franco as hosts this year can't hurt.

Luckily I have no such allegiance towards the Golden Globes. The Tourist and Red nomination(s), really!? + general yawn, no thanks.

The point of watching the Globes is not the nominations so much. The point is that the show is loose and fun because all the stars are drunk.
