The most successful societies at the moment are found in Middle East, Sub-Saharan Africa and certain parts of South Asia.

Areas which contain some of the larger consumers of charity and aid. Natural forces are not exactly in play here. If they were, there would be no Ethiopia as it is known today, for example.
