I can't imagine Granholm filling the empty seat, but I haven't seen anything about it, at all (other than what you've posted). There was also speculation early on that Granholm may have been considered for a cabinet position, but that obviously never came to any fruition.

At one point, ol' Jenny could have been a big player in the Democratic party, but she instead chose to drive our economy into the toilet. She'll never get back.
