Present company excluded, I think all the hoopla illustrates how ridiculous we behave when it comes to celebrities and sports stars.

Amen.

We have people in the Gulf who are losing their very livelihoods.

We have people dying every day because they don't have health insurance.

We have veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan who are suffering in silence.

But THIS is what seems to have captured national consciousness.

I understand that we all need to escape from time to time, but seriously... It's really quite absurd.
