As much as I love Kaia, I have watched her game for far too long to assume that she's a lock for a R16 match-up with Serena. She's got a top 8 seed in her way first (granted it is Bepa but still) plus some dangerous floaters in her section too.

That being said, I really hope she makes it and takes out Serena once she does.

The Aussie is the only Slam that Kaia has not reached the 1/4s. Which is a little funny, because you would think with that big serve and those huge groundies she would perform better here than the French.

I think Bepa's in the kind of a funk that will lend itself to not lasting long here. Which probably means she'll knock out everyone in her half of the draw.
