Not the same situation but It reminds me of a young couple who bought a ticket from London(UK) to Sydney(Canada) instead of Sydney( Australia)...It was a cheap flight, they thought they were getting a great deal.

Nova Scotia shout out! We definitely heard about that one in the news Once or twice a year I'll hear of something happening in "Sydney" and assume they mean around here and get quite surprised about it...til I remember it's Australai they mean
