In any case, I've decided that I'm going to follow my own advice. No one is holding a guy to my head and forcing me to read them (though I'm supposed to as staff; but we have other staff and they can shoulder that particular burden). So I'm just going to ignore them. Other people obviously enjoy them, so I'm not going to be a stick in their mudbath.
