Thanks for the kind words everyone. When I got there, while there was a line to purchase tickets, there was no one in line to take photos with the trophy. A volunteer led us right to it and we started hamming it up for the camera. Once others saw what we were doing, a line instantly began forming.

With his serve, Miles definitely belongs on the WTA.

Sadly, Miles cannot argue with this point. If he were ever to play Caro, it would be a serving hotmess for the ages.

In all seriousness, that's really cool. They should send the trophy out on tour during the US Open Series (heck, send a replica, and just tell us it's the real trophy).

This is an awesome idea. In fact, the USTA could come up with an entire winner's trophy presentation backdrop so that it looks like you are being awarded the trophy post victory inside Ashe stadium.

OMG, I so did not want to be tackled by the security dude so I loudly proclaimed that I was going to now bite the trophy like Rafa before striking the pose. Amazingly no one objected.
