From the matches I've seen on Chatrier, I've felt that the crowd haven't been all that supportive of the French players.......not in the sense of making a lot of noise anyway.

OK, against Djokovic, Gasquet did not give much reason for the crowd to get excited. But during the Tsonga Wawrinka match they were quiet for long stretches, only really waking up when JW was on the brink of defeat.

There was a lot more support for Monfils against Ferrer. It was an exciting match, but maybe a different crowd out on Lenglen too? Less suits?

Only my perception from watching on TV. Could be very wrong.
