After that, it was probably the classic case of the injured player going for their shots more and the person at the other end becoming less certain/focused. BBC Scotland reporter said that Berrer admitted to him that he deliberately didn't hit many drop shots after the injury (prior to that he was using them quite a lot, with a fair amount of success). I don't think Murray would have reciprocated had the situation been reversed!
Wow, first time I've heard a pro tennis player actually say that!
