I don't get what comments offended her. That she hasn't had good results lately? That she would be extravagantly catered to during the quallies? Maybe I read the wrong statements from the tournament, but this sounds pouty. She could just say "I think I deserve better than quallies so I'm not playing."

Ok, maybe this: "It’s probably the best thing that could happen to her since she needs to play to find her confidence and rise in the rankings before the US Open." is a little condescending... but true!

I like: “If I were her coach, I would force her to play qualies.”

And, as recently as Tuesday: "We’re looking at it and there should be developments soon.”

And Ana: “I don’t think his comments were necessary, and they contradicted everything he had told my management previously: that I was not getting a wild card because I am not Canadian.”
