Maybe Cahill has contractual obligations until then?

Just grasping at straws. I don't understand the delay, either.

Personally, I don't think Cahill is a good fit. He needs someone who will smack him upside the back of the head every time he hits a drop shot. Someone like a John Cena.
Well, considering that Murray did better under Maclagan than Brad Gilbert, I think he might as least get along with Cahill. As to whether Cahill will help his game, I don't know. I guess the perception was that Murray liked the more hands-off approach that Maclagan seemed to bring as opposed to BG being up in his grill all the time, but now it's hard to say that for sure. I don't know if he can stand the kind of coach that would yell at him a lot.
