I forget where I read it recently, but someone broke down the issue of the Belgians playing a Williams-esque part time schedule, and they said it simply would not work well for them. Said both Kim and Justine were the kind of players that needed more matches than they initially were scheduling in order to stay in their game.

While I certianly don't want Kimmie returning to the days when she played singles and doubles at 30 events a year, I'm not minding her adding a periodic couple to what looked to be a relatively light schedule. I think IW proved she needed more matches, and needed to get to know the games of all these youngin's that joined the ranks (and moved up the rankings) since 2007.
