I'd support driving it out of the public eye, because that embarasses the sport, but recognize that it's almost impossible to truly get rid of it.
In other words, cover it up?

Not sure the sport benefits from cover ups at all since everything always comes out anyway.

I'm surprised so many people think it would be difficult to eliminate.

I've heard warnings issued from chair over the years, including against Carlos. Point and game penalties would go far to eliminate it.

And with all the video evidence around, a player could be warned even after a match and told if a camera catches it again, they will be fined and suspended.

Forget about an official chaperon for the coaches. Just put a camera on the player's boxes and let that be that. I don't see why technology can't be used to eliminate it from the sport entirely.
