You don't call a press conference to announce that you're going to play when you are 21st in the world, imo.

I think we've seen the last of Amelie.
This is very sad. I was reading the article and my first thought was..."a lot of players would kill to be #21 in the world and have the money and ranking points and seedings that come with it"....

But the truth is....before her appy...Amelie was riding high. She never regained that top form after she came back. I don't know how she can be happy playing and never playing top ten tennis like she used to. On the other hand....look at players that didn't giveafig about rankings, seedings, or money...they stayed because they love the game and they love to play.

I wish this wasn't so. On the other hand...we still have Justine and Alicia Molik and Casey making their comebacks in 2010!
