I saw this yesterday on wtaworld, our own Bea twittered it and it got attention. I've been holding out hope that this wouldn't be the r-word but I'm sure it is.

This is so sad if she is indeed retiring. Momo is all that remains of the players who were at the top when I started watching tennis (if you take out the sisters and the Belgians). I've always had a soft spot for her over the years and I remember cheering for her at the 2005 YEC to win that final, along with her two majors, especially Wimbledon.

I just hope she's happy with her life and with what she's achieved, but I'll miss just seeing her name in the draw.
