A bunch of us saw her play at IW in 2008 against A-Bond, and it was one of the ugliest tennis matches I had ever seen live, almost reaching the point where we were ready to accept her retirement right there, on the spot. Then Scotty and I saw her play a gorgeous match later that year against Julie Coin at the USO.

We also sat courtside at IW this past March for her match against Na Li. I think all of us loved that match. And a ball from that match remains in our custody

Guess I should feel pretty fortunate - I've gotten to see her play a fair amount, and when her game was on, it was so beautiful to watch.
