I liked Horna. Ma. Emilia Salerni, on the other hand, was a total failure as a pro. Overdue exit.
I think that is a little unfair. She had decent numbers that thousands of players would give anything for...

  • She reached 1 final in Bogota in 2008 (lost to Llagostera Vives)
  • She won the doubles title in Casablanca in 2003(w/Dulko) and at Quebec City in 2004(w/Gullickson)
  • She won 12 ITF singles titles and 11 doubles
  • She had a career record of 272-178
  • She made almost $700,000 in her career, which isn't chump change

  • Her career highs were #65 in singles in 2008 and #45 in doubles in 2002

So I don't think it was a total failure, she may not have lived up to her full potential but it isn't like she went out there and just embarrassed herself on court either.
