I was curious if Petrova would have an outside shot if she were to win Beijing. I still don't think so. Maybe if she then won Linz and Moscow, and the other contenders flamed out.

No, she doesn't. Even if she wins the last 3 tournaments(Beijing, Linz/Osaka, Moscow) it will not be enough. She will have 3530 points, Jankovic has 3660 points.
