Some good news for Tamira and her fans. This should mean we will see her in NY, if her back holds up:

The Austrian player Tamira Paszek will not be suspended while officials investigate whether a medical treatment she received for a back injury violated doping regulations.

The disciplinary committee of Austria’s antidoping agency said Friday that Paszek could play on the WTA Tour at least until a verdict is reached in about seven weeks. The agency had sought to temporarily bar her.

Last month, Paszek, 18, had blood taken for homeopathic enrichment and reinjected into her lower back. Reinjecting one’s blood is banned under international antidoping rules.

Paszek’s lawyer, Michael Barnay, said Friday that the treatment did not violate national antidoping laws or the World Anti-Doping Association code.
