I know this is the wrong thread but whatever... I've been really busy the last couple of days but managed to watch most of the Soderling-Querrey match. Don't know if you guys have already talked about it, but to me, Soderling looked like a major threat again. He was playing really smartly and very consistently. Also, Roger looked pretty sloppy against Hewitt; hope he can pick it up in the next few matches. Watched the last set of the Zheng-Petrova match and was pretty impressed with Petrova. I've a feeling Oudin's run ends here and that Nadia could make good use of the opened up draw. Finally, Dinara I love Serena, but it's so disgusting to hear the press go on and on about Dinara as if she doesn't know how to hold a racquet.
Sharapova vs Oudin was a big match for both women for very different reasons. I think the same holds for Oudin vs Petrova.

Maria is not there now to mess with Petrova's head. Oudin is in unchartered waters this deep in a major. It's really a very intriguing match.
Soderling/Davydenko is a really interesting match. I do hope that the winner can upset Federer to make the USO interesting. I'll be rooting hard for Nikolay, but I'm happy for either.

I'm confident that Petrova will beat Oudin in two straightforward sets. Nadia can definitely be rattled, but I think her good serving will be too hard to handle. Oudin won't be able to break her as many times as Dementieva or Sharapova. I think she actually has a reasonable shot at the finals.

I think the best thing for Safina to do is get fit and focused again, and drop a spot or two in the rankings. She's going nuts. I also think she needs a new coach, but I doubt that will happen.
