It is funny, but amongst others, Chris used to talk about how she HATED not being tested by the time that she made a Slam final- which too often led to her being a bit flat in a final and then losing. I agree, it would have helped V a great deal if SOMEONE had made her fight.

Still- can't take anything away from Serena. Truth be told- I found out about the result first from going on the day's play thread. When I read the first posts about Serena's winning- sadly, I was relieved when I saw the score. I thought- WELL, at least it wasn't something like 1 & 2.

P.S. Venus: Could you now actually REALLY show up for once at the US Open this year, please?!?! Just don't want to have to wait until 2010 Wimbledon (OR- ahem, the 2009 End of Years....) to get a little V-excited again.
