Yeah she's made what...14 slam finals now and has 7 wins? I think she's done just fine. If not for Serena, she'd be racing with Fed for more slams

As for calling her the Bryan brothers...she now has 2 more grand slam doubles title than them (and a career slam in doubles like them)

HEY- let's remember that I called her AND the Bryans "great, great" here. BUT- when you get to the greatest heights- IMO, the spotlight gets all the harsher. Like the twins- she just doesn't quite get there enough to actually WIN as many Slams as, IMO, her (and their) talent and skill should dictate.

Of course, I also get that their careers ain't exactly over yet. BUT- this Wimbledon win would have put V into yet another category- and REALLY gotten her up there on the list of greatest Wimbledon champs ever. Coulda left her, for example, with a shot at being up there with Steffi and Martina. At 29- the clock is ticking. And- it's just disappointing to me that she just couldn't scrap more with this match- the way that Serena has done (not always, of course) to get to her 11.

It's like, I've already accepted that Serena's going to go down as the greater player compared to V. Just want V to have SOMETHING greater than her sister when they're done. Woulda been SO sweet if she coulda taken lil' Sis one more time. AH, well- what's done is done.
