Less than 2 years after winning the whole thing? And having not lost on anything but clay in 4 years? I don't know that any new captain could do anything better at this point in American men's tennis.

I'll say this in James defense... A different James does seem to show up for Davis Cup and ARAG types of events on clay. Maybe it'll be okay. I guess there's also a part of me who wants to send a loud and clear message to James that his attitude about the surface needs to change. Though at his age, it would be a waste of time.

Anyway, it is what it is.
