someone posted the procedure the other day. If Rafa withdraws before play begins, #5 seed takes his spot in the draw, #17 moves to the spot vacated by #5, and the player next to be seeded (#33) moves to the spot vacated by #17. A lucky loser gets the remaining empty spot.

OKay, that's what I thought, but should the number 9 seed be included in the shuffle? Otherwise two of the top eight seeds (Verdasco and Tsonga) would be in the same section.
