so his visa didn't come through? or is there another reason?
I heard this yesterday Aurora.
PARIS -- Nikolay Davydenko's participation in the Wimbledon warm-up event at Queen's Club hung in the balance on Tuesday as the Russian was unsure if he would receive a visa in time.
Davydenko had an appointment to get his visa last week but missed it as he had to play three days running after rain interrupted proceedings at Roland Garros.
"I tried to have it made last week. I should have had an appointment but I played three days in a row. If you remember, I didn't finish my match and the next day I was supposed to have this appointment," he said after being beaten in the French Open quarterfinals by Robin Soderling.
"I missed the deadline, and Monday was bank holiday in France, and now I will try tomorrow. I know some players said I would have to wait 10 days for a visa. And now I'm in trouble," he said.
The grass-court tournament starts on Monday.
"If I go tomorrow, I should be receive my visa by the end of next week," Davydenko added. "I don't know what I can do. I should already play on Monday at Queen's. And for us Russians, it's really important to do it quickly.
"I don't know what I can do this week about it," he said.
