Order of Play - Monday, April 27, 2009

Center Court (from 14.00hrs)
1. Parra Santonja vs. Sprem (Singles Q Final)
2. Pironkova vs. Marosi (Singles Q Final)
3. Petkovic vs. Schruff (Singles Q Final)
4. Suárez Navarro vs. Azarenka (NB 20.00hrs)

Court 1 (from 13.00hrs)
1. Dushevina vs. Brianti (Singles Q Final)
2. Borwell/Kops-Jones vs. Hsieh/Scheepers (NB 18.00hrs)

OK, does it strike anyone else as just a bit, I don't know ... cavalier? ... to schedule only one match each in the main draws of singles & doubles on Monday?

They're indoors, so obviously they won't be rained out. Maybe the TD figured the Monday attendance would suck no matter who/how many were on the OOP? I know this event hasn't been on clay before ... were they late on shoveling in the red stuff?

Also, will the winner be driving a Porsche around the court as part of the trophy ceremony again?
