this FO final was probably the most heartbreaking final I have ever watched. I actually started out rooting for Gaudio, but felt just terrible for Coria in the end...

The same with me. I didn't know much about Coria when I was watching the match. Gaudio's comeback attempt gripped me, and I started rooting for him. The fourth set was the most bizarre set ever. And then at the end of the fifth set, I went back to rooting for Coria but it was too late by then.
