Robredo Organises Tournament In Memory Of Friend

Tommy Robredo is making a dream come true by organising a wheelchair tournament “Santi Silva Memorial” in memory of his friend Silva, who died last year. This Tennis Open will take place in Olot from 8-14 June and is categorized as an ITF 2, making it the most important wheelchair tournament to take place in Spain.

Along with the help of several people in his team, Robredo is looking to attract sponsors and donors to raise the €70,000 needed for the tournament. He is also counting on the help of a number of sports figures to increase awareness of the tournament, which will have free entry.

“We invite everybody to come and attend,” said Robredo. “With your help and presence only, we will already make Santi’s dream come true.”
