Personally I think her results will depend on a few things.
1. How her body holds and more importantly has she lost a few steps. Kim at her best could run down anything, that was her biggest weapon, if she's lost some steps she'll struggle.
2. How much she plays. If she plays a Lindsay-like schedule she won't make top 15 even if she does well in the events she plays in. WTA is all about quantity.
3. Where she plays, coming back unranked in big events is dicey. Kim would be smart to start small and work herself up. There's nothing worse to confidence than a first round loss in a big event to a player you could beat at your best.

But overall I agree, that give the right circumstances, Saint Kimmie should be at least a top 30 player again and perhaps make a quarter at a slam again and win a title or two. It'll take a bit more than just desire to drive her higher, in my opinion.
