Semis of Paris, where she lost to the tournament winner, while beating a player who she had lost to 4 straight times on hard courts (Na Li). And Kaia is certainly no slouch.

She's trying to do some things different with her serve. I think that's a good thing. It's not there right now, and she needs to keep working. And is she playing as well as she is capable of? Certainly not. Same with almost everyone in the top ten, short of Serena and Vera.

But to think this is going down the road of 10 straight first round losses like 2006, I don't see it at all.
