As I understand it Parque Roca is the only place in Argentina with more than 12,000 seats. Of course they could put hard courts there, but the team prefers very fast indoor carpet (like St Petersburg or 2005 MC)...

Yes. That is the surface Nalbandian did so well on last year. How JMDP will do is not clear at this point. He played well on outdoor hard during the summer but I don't think he has that great a record indoors. I see his home town/area has thrown it's hat into the ring as well.
