(a) Rusedski made the finals in '97.

(b) Prior to Rusedski, Ivanisevic made SFs in 1996, Volkov made SF in 1993, Vilas made SF in 1982, Tanner made SF in 1979, and of course Connors (as recently as 1991) and McEnroe (as recently as 1990) made the later rounds on multiple occasions within the last 30 years.
