Pierce was a little more interesting than the standard issue cross/crucifix. She actually wore rosary beads around her neck, which I think is a uniquely Catholic (and perhaps Roman Catholic at that) tradition. They are used as a meditative/devotional tool.

If I remember correctly, the one that Mary wore was given to her by Roberto Alomar.

Rosary beads! good times, good times. I remember when people used them more as a fashion accessory than to pray or use them as an actual meditative/devotional tool.

I have some somewhere.
