Betting probes....citizenship controversy. Any link?

That thought did cross my mind but what benefit would he get in becoming an Austrian instead of a Russian?
This one is ugly and I wouldn't think Austrian citizenship afforded him any protection IF, and ONLY IF somehow another IP search traces a bet back to the players hotel.

Could this be why Tarpishev dropped him from the DC team as well?

Of course he is innocent until proven guilty but all these questions do arise...
