I agree. The players (most of them) don't appear to be fond of them, so it makes me uncomfortable to watch them.
Having been on the grounds, it's awfully hard not to get wind of a big upset like Coin d. Ivanovic. There's a buzz in the air, people talking about it, replays of the end of the match on the huge video monitors, and I'd have to think there was a lot of noise in the locker room about it.
I find it hard to believe Serena knew nothing of the result, unless she literally had her head in a book or towel, with headphones on. Which is entirely possible. But if she was paying any attention to her surroundings, the result would be somewhat obvious, she wouldn't necessarily have to be told.
