my sunday

1-2 pm: Lunch with room mate, pretending to be relaxed
3 pm: getting angry with dsf for still refusing to show live tennis, starting channelsurfing/ sop cast
3.39pm: yelling at laptop because internet is too slow and channelsurfing and sop cast get stuck; as a result: getting slightly irritated look by room mate and switching to live scores
3.40 pm: room mate asks me who we are cheering for again. use the chance to tell her all I know about roger & rafa. in the mean time, roger loses the first set. I google matches- roger-won-.after -losing-the-first-set.
Around 5.15 pm. Strongly dislike live scores who tell me roger lost the second set after being up 4:1. explain to room mate it’s over and draft congrats rafa posts. Also, pretend not to look at live scores anymore and to read a book.
5.51 pm: rain break. On TAT craig hickman explains how rain breaks mean roger wins. Delete my congrats rafa posts.
7.07 pm: the match continues. Tie break: room mate has to look at scores while I wander outside on our balcony.
Around 8 pm: another tiebreak. Rafa is up 5:2. I explain to room mate it’s over. Think about those congrats rafa posts again. Go outside on our balcony. Room mate yells its 5-all. Start to understand why people smoke.
9 pm: we have a fifth set!! I cant believe it. For the first time in hours I start to believe roger may win.
10.10pm Rafa breaks. Explain to room mate it’s over.
10.22 pm I was right. The balcony trick didnt work anymore. I am crushed. Write the congrats rafa post. I really mean it. He is amazing, he deserves it. Still, I am way to depressed to watch the match summary on dsf.
The next day: read about it being the best match ever, ever, ever. realize that while I havent seen a single rallye of this match, I propably know all the worst-match-ever contenders. still love tennis
