Default Venus/Serena: WHO YA GOT?
And then there were two.

Venus Williams versus Serena Williams for the whole enchillada at Wimbledon 2008. Have a ring of familiarity to it, anyone? Only the two finest grass court players of the 2000s. Between them, the owner of 6 titles at this tournament. Throw in their doubles accomplishments here, and their appearances in finals, and their Hall of Fame credentials just shine that much brighter.

Miss Venus. 4 time champion, additional 2 time finalist. Comes into the final without dropping a set. Given her tradition of excellence at this tournament (this is her 12th Wimbledon), her excelence playing on grass, her serve, her ability to reach shots or move in to net it's hard to make an argument as to why she would not be a clear favorite. Unless, the person on the other side of the net is...

Miss Serena. 2 time Wimbledon champion, and Queen of Slam hardware among the current WTA. A title tomorrow would be her 9th Slam, and nobody lives for the big match as much as her. Serena also has not dropped a set on her march to the final. The huge serve is back, and so is the belief that there is no one better in the WTA.

Career H2H - Serena leads 8-7. Serena also leads 5-4 when they play at Slams, and 6-2 when they play in a tournament final. Serena also leads 2-1 at Wimbledon. Venus leads 6-4 in their 2 set H2H, Serena leads 4-1 in 3 setters.
