If it's the first 8 games during 4 of which Neal will also be suspended, they may not want to keep him. But I recall his contract was structured so that the Packers got him extra cheap if he did get suspended. So he may be cheap insurance for later in the year.

Just saw his cap hit is only $450,000. He'll stick around. He'll fill in for Neal when Neal ends up hurt after his first game of actual playing time.
