It's not necessarily a good decision, because it ultimately should affect it's earning power.

I realize some people dislike the Pro Bowl, and that's fine, because I'm one of them.
But lots of people, like fahvra, still watch the game for various reasons.

When the Pro Bowl is aired, those of us who dislike it can just choose not to watch. We have that option.
When it's not aired, those people who want to watch lose that option.

Let's not pretend that some sort of compelling programming will be put in that time slot.
You think people like that are going to stop watching the NFL and therefore decrease the earning power because there is no longer a Pro Bowl?

That's laughable, at best.

Just because some people like it or watch it doesn't make it a bad idea to get rid of it. It's a terrible product for various reasons....including the fact that even the players don't care to be involved in it. When the players skip it entirely or mail it in, it's a good idea to get rid of it.
