I think boxing is different in that one of the objectives is to try and knock somebody senseless and they all know it.

And I also wonder whether what Ali has is a result of boxing. He has Parkinsons, right? Can you get that from head trauma? I know about 5 people with Parkinsons and none of them can trace it to something like that.

yes, and you can certainly get it from repetitive brain trauma.

this isn't my proof but my Grandpa was a boxer in the Navy and had Parkinsons pretty bad too.
