10. Chris Johnson, Tennessee Titans: Sure, he's only averaging 50 yards per game but it's the homerun potential that keeps Johnson in the top 10. Every player is allowed to have a few bad games . . . but would anyone be surprised if Chris Johnson went on a tear to end the season?

9. Michael Turner, Atlanta Falcons: Probably the complete opposite of Chris Johnson, Michael Turner doesn't run by defenders, he runs through them. And despite the fact that every year this guy is supposed to wear down from all the rushing attempts, he keeps on chugging along.

8. Arian Foster, Houston Texans: Cut him a little slack with the whole hamstring issue. After 2010, there's no denying that this guy is an elite running back . . . when he's healthy.

7. Maurice Jones-Drew, Jacksonville Jaguars: It's hard to be the only player worth a damn on your offense but Maurice Jones-Drew is and he's still putting up excellent numbers.

6. Darren McFadden, Oakland Raiders: How Jason Campbell's injury affects DMC will be interesting to watch. This guy has developed into what the Saints hoped Reggie Bush would become.

5. Matt Forte, Chicago Bears: Forte often doesn't wow people with his blazing speed or brute strength, but he has a good combination of both of those and he's one of the best RBs in the league out of the backfield.

4. LeSean McCoy, Philadelphia Eagles: McCoy's quickness is what separates him from quite a few other running backs. I often imagine that Felix Jones would be very similar to McCoy if Jones weren't such a weakling.

3. Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings: How can you not rank Adrian Peterson first? Well, he might be first if he were in a better situation. I don't know. It's possible we still haven't seen Peterson's talent fully realized.

2. Ray Rice, Baltimore Ravens: Ray Rice is like Matt Forte if Forte were in a better situation. Rice is not only a weapon out of the backfield but he's also become a bit of a power back at times.

1. Fred Jackson, Buffalo Bills: Is Fred Jackson the next Thomas Jones? This guy just seems to get better with age. Averaging 5.7 yards per carry and 100 yards rushing per game, he's making some Bills fans forget the likes of Thurman Thomas and O.J. Simpson. Ok, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration but the guy can flat out play.
